It's release day at Pinkfresh Studio, and we are so excited to bring our our brand new Holiday 2021 stamp, stencil & die release from Pinkfresh Studio!
This release is full of stamps, layering stencils & dies, along with a new hot foil plate too. I think you are going to just love all of it!
Merry & Bright card
Pinkfresh Studio products featured:
- Thrill of Hope Wreath stencil set
- Thrill of Hope stamp set
- Perfect Sentiments: Holiday hot foil plate
- Perfect Sentiments: Holiday die
- Abstract Bow die set
- Stitched Rectangles die set
- Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die set
- Glacier Jewels
- Premium dye ink colors: Bubble Gum, Raspberry Bliss, Passion Fruit, Candy Apple, Sweet Mustard, Aquamarine, Tidal Pond, Candy Violet, Regal Kiss
- Hybrid ink: Detail Black
I started this card by ink blending the wreath in a rainbow gradient to Hammermill white cardstock. I covered the wreath generously with my powder tool, then I blended embossing ink on to the berry stencil layer, and covered it it gold embossing powder. I carefully picked that stencil up so I didn't mess the ink up and then heat set it. This is a super important step, because if you shift the stencil at all or drag it along your image....you will also be adding embossing ink into those areas. (Don't ask me how I know this....lol!)
I foiled the main sentiment in bright pink foil using my Spellbinders Glimmer hot foil system. Our hot foil plates work in all leading letterpress style hot foil systems, but I definitely prefer the Spellbinders version.
I cut the stitched scallop frame from gold pearl paper, then stacked it with a couple more layers cut from white cardstock. The cute bow is cut & assembled from vellum. I stamped the secondary sentiment and trimmed it into a banner. With all those elements done, I assembled the card as shown above, popping some of the layers up with foam tape. I finished by accenting with jewels.
Season of Wonder shaker card
Pinkfresh Studio products featured:
- Wintry Forest stencil set
- Thrill of Hope hot foil plates
- Thrill of Hope die set
- Stitched Rectangles die set
- Premium dye ink colors: Mint, Meadow, Emerald City, Evergreen
I started this card by ink blending the forest in a green gradient to Hammermill white cardstock. I covered the background generously with my powder tool, then I blended embossing ink on to the snowy stencil layer, and covered it it white embossing powder. I carefully picked that stencil up so I didn't mess the ink up and then heat set it.
I foiled the main sentiment in red foil using my Spellbinders Glimmer hot foil system. I cut it out using the coordinating die, and stacked it with two more cardstock layers.
I cut the stitched frame from white glitter paper, and turned it into a shaker window. I added the glitter & tiny jewels to the middle of the card as my shaker mixture, then carefully adhered down the frame. There were two very slight openings that allowed the glitter to come out a little bit, so I just added a little bit of liquid glue to those areas to close it up. I can't wait to send this card, because I think whoever gets it will have so much fun shaking it! It really does look like falling snow.
Merry Christmas ornaments card
Pinkfresh Studio products featured:
- Holiday Ornaments stencil set
- Holiday Ornaments die
- Leafy Branch die
- Jewels: Bubble Gum, Ballet Slipper, Ocean Breeze
- Premium dye ink colors: Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Candy Apple, Aquamarine, Tidal Pond, Evergreen
I started this card by ink blending the cute ornament scene to Hammermill white cardstock. I covered the panel generously with my powder tool, then I blended embossing ink on to the ornament hanger stencil layer, & the sentiment layer and covered it it gold embossing powder. I also did the same with the ornament details and added an iridescent glitter powder to those to give some beautiful added shine. I carefully picked that stencil up so I didn't mess the ink up and then heat set it.
I used the 1 piece die to cut out all the elements, but as I mentioned in the product intro video, the cute sparkles stay on the background. I adhered that background to an A2 card, because I really wanted to keep those adorable sparkles on my card! Then I popped up all the other elements with foam to give the card added dimension. I diecut the branch from champagne glitter paper, and accented the pine bough and above the sentiment with it. I finished by accenting the ornaments with jewels.
Merriest Wishes card
Pinkfresh Studio products featured:
- Happy Holidays Circle Frame stamp set
- Happy Holidays Circle Frame stencil set
- Happy Holidays Circle Frame die
- Diamond hot foil plate
- Curvy Leaves die set
- Stitched Rectangles die set
- Premium dye ink colors: Meadow, Emerald City, Candy Apple
- Hybrid Ink: Detail Black
- Metallic gold pearls
I started this card by ink blending the image to Hammermill white cardstock. I put the ink blended panel in my MISTI and lined the coordinating stamp to it. I covered it generously with my powder tool, then proceeded to stamp & heat emboss the image in gold. I also stamped & heat embossed the main sentiment in gold, then diecut both pieces using the coordinating die. Finally, I stamped the secondary sentiment and trimmed into a strip.
Next I used the Diamonds hot foil plate to dry emboss a panel of red cardstock. I get the best results for dry embossing with my Spellbinders Platinum 6, but due to the thickness of our hot foil plates, I do have to adjust the sandwich. I cannot use the blue embossing plate that they provide, as it makes the sandwich much to thick to pass through the machine, so here is the sandwich that I use instead:
Platform
Tan Embossing Mat
Paper
Hot Foil Plate (face down)
100 LB cardstock shim
Clear cutting plate
Diecut machines all have different pressure levels, so I suggest trying it out with some scrap cardstock first and dial in your sandwich. You may need to add cardstock shims, or even create one from lighter weight cardstock. But I do feel like the suggestion above is a really great starting point!
I diecut a couple of the leaves from white cardstock and then assembled the card as shown, popping some of the layers up with foam adhesive. I finished by accenting with gold pearls.
Merriest Christmas washi tape card
Pinkfresh Studio products featured:
- Poinsettia washi tape
- Poinsettia die
- Perfect Sentiments: Holiday hot foil plate
- Perfect Sentiments: Holiday die
- Thrill of Hope stamp set
- Diagonal Stripes hot foil plate
- Stitched Rectangle die set
- Partial Cut Bouquet with a Bow die set
- Happy Blooms 6x6 paper pad
- Premium dye ink colors: Gathered Twigs
- "Metallic gold pearls
I started this card by foiling the diagonal stripes background using aura colored foil. I think I had a small imperfection in my foil (because all the other panels I did with this same plate foiled perfectly), and a small part of it lifted up. I knew that I would likely add elements to the top of the panel, so I didn't stress about it nor did I throw it away. Keep in mind that if you have an area that doesn't foil well, that you can always try to cover it up with elements in order to not waste that work you've done! I cut the panel with our largest stitched rectangle.
I foiled the main sentiment in rose gold foil, and then cut it out with the coordinating die. This amazing sentiment set is all one piece, so you will either foil or stamp all the sentiments at one time, and then diecut with one pass through your diecut machine. I am OBSESSED with this innovative & versatile sentiment concept that we have come out with, and I just love having all those sentiments at my fingertips whenever I'm ready to create.
Next I pulled out a panel of the washi tape and adhered it to Hammermill white cardstock. Then I cut all the pieces out with the coordinating 1 piece die. I also cut & assembled the bow from our patterned paper and gold foil paper. Whenever I have scraps of patterned paper, I will cut bow pieces, small butterflies or alphas from them. Then they are ready to use the next time I want to add one of those elements to my card. This pink plaid paper was a perfect match for my card, and the best part....the diecutting was already done. I just had to assemble. Keep that tip in mind when you have scraps of patterned paper, glitter paper, foil paper, etc. I have plastic storage bins for the extra cuts, but you could absolutely store them in the back of your packaging.
I assembled the card as shown, popping many of the elements up with foam adhesive. An as you can see, you can't even tell that I had a small imperfect section of my foiled background. I felt like the sentiment needed a secondary sentiment, so I stamped "from our home to yours" in Gathered Twigs ink to white cardstock and trimmed into a thin strip. It was a perfect added touch to my card. I finished by accenting the florals on the washi tape pieces with gold pearls.
