Happy Thursday, crafty friends! It's time for a STAMPtember® party! It's a super fun crafty month with TONS of stamping fun. Simon Says Stamp has released a large selection of exclusive STAMPtember® products, and then throughout the entire month they will release collaborations with other companies. We are having a BIG party today, and I've got a fantastic shopping promo for you. Get a free large happy birthday die available with $30 purchase while supplies last, just be sure to use the code Q928NNU. This promotion will expire 9/2 at 11:59 pm ET.
I will put more party info below, but how about we check out the card set that I've created for today?
Rainbow Birthday mini slimline card set
I am all about foiling and mini slimlines right now, so I was super excited to receive the Mini Slimline Falling Dots hot foil plate for this release! I foiled it in both Rainbow & Mini Rainbow foils using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I did have to add a 100 LB cardstock shim for the mini rainbow foil, as it didn't foil super well the first time. I use Hammermill smooth white cardstock pretty much exclusively at this point, because it gives perfect results when foiling, ink blending, and stamping. It's a win win! When both panels were foiled, I diecut them with the largest stitched rectangle with the Pinkfresh Studio Mini Slimline Bundle.
I also received the Large Happy Birthday die (which is part of my shopping promo...woot!), which I diecut three times; once from Tonic gold pearl paper and twice from white cardstock. I stacked & glued them together with a Zig glue pen, and this would be the sentiment for one of my slimline cards.
I stamped the other sentiment from the new Furry Friends stamp set in onyx black Versafine ink to white cardstock, then trimmed into a thin strip. I am not a critter person, but this set has some FANTASTIC sentiments in it! It's a great reminder to not pass over stamp sets based on the images alone. Be sure to check out the sentiments!
I assembled the card as shown above, then accented one of the mini slimlines with gold pearls to finish. I created the rainbow circle using the Pinkfresh Studio Mini Slimline Bundle and Slim Stripes die sets. I didn't feel like the other card needed any embellishments with that large gold sentiment attached to it. :)
