Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! We are still celebrating our April 2023 release at Pinkfresh Studio, and today we've got an Instagram Hop going on! There is a grand prize on the Pinkfresh IG post, plus 10 more chances to win a $25 gift card code to our online shop along the hop. Click HERE to be taken to my Instagram post, where you can start the hop!
I created this card in our combined live sneak peek last week, where Heather & I created with the same set together. We created completely different cards, mine being a rainbow colored slimline featuring the new Ribbons & Balloons stencils & die.
Happy Happy Birthday slimline card
Card size: Slimine - 4" x 9" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list.
You can watch this card come together in real time in the YouTube Live replay below. If watching videos isn't your thing, here are some simple directions.
- Cut & fold a 4x9 slimline card base from white cardstock.
- Ink blend (2) sets of the balloons to white cardstock in a rainbow gradient using the Ribbons & Balloons stencil set.
- Diecut the three Rosettes from coordinating cardstock colors, and the middles from ivory glitter cardstock.
- Diecut the Slim Ornate Banner frame from ivory glitter cardstock, and just the inner die from white cardstock.
- Add a design to the inner ornate banner piece using the Intricate Stitched Ovals coverplate.
- Stamp the Basic Banners: Celebrate stamp set to white cardstock in Detail Black.
- Diecut the sentiments with the 1-piece Basic Banner die, and both balloon pieces with the coordinating die.
- Layer & assemble the card as shown, popping some elements up with foam tape for added dimension.
- Accent the balloons with iridescent jewels to finish.
I made a couple of small changes to my card once the live was over, and I think they made the card much better. The added jewels also really made it shine, which I didn't add during the live because time was up and I wasn't really sure where I wanted them to go. I needed a bit more time to think. I hope you like the finished product after I made just a few changes!
Just a reminder that you can see more images of these cards on my Instagram post! Also, don't forget that we also have a blog hop going on this week too! If you haven't checked it out, there are more prizes to be won and inspiration to be seen. You can get all the details on my blog hop post!
