Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! I'm taking a short pause from our April release to share the make & take card (also known as a CITI at the event) from the Simon Says Stamp CREATE event that happened last weekend. Heather & I spent 4 days in Columbus, OH together, prepping and hosting two different cards that crafters from all over got to sit down and create with us! This card was taught at the friends & family event the night before the event started, and then on day 1 of the event.
I wanted to share the card today in case you weren't able to attend and still wanted to create it! You can get all the details below.
You Brighten my Day card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5/5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Create an A2 card base from pink cardstock.
- Stamp the Inky Floral Background image to white cardstock in Doe ink.
- Use the coordinating stencils to ink blend in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Sparkling Rose
Stencil 2: Apricot
Stencil 3: Aquamarine
Stencil 4: Ballet Slipper
- Diecut the stamped image with the largest Stitched Rectangle.
- Adhere the background to your pink card base. (Use foam tape if you'd like added dimension.)
- Pick a sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments 5 ephemera pack, and mount to the card front with thin foam strips.
- Accent with Blossom, Aqua and Butterscotch glitter drops to finish.
Check your stash and see if you have these products, or find something similar and create your own version! If you really fancy them, pick up the products in your next order, and bookmark this post so you can come back to it.
I know not everyone could attend CREATE, and I wanted to make sure that all felt included. For those that were in attendance and spent some time with us at our table...THANK YOU. We know the lines were long for our CITIs and we appreciate that you were able to hang in there. We are truly humbled by all the love and kind words you bestowed upon us over the weekend. It was a long weekend and we were exhausted by the end of it, but you helped keep us going.
Before I close up, I wanted to mention that my Crafty Sale page is updated, and I'm also currently work on my FAVORITES page! It currently only has my Amazon list, and my must haves for ink & ink blending...but my hope is to have it completley finished soon.
