Happy Love Day, crafty friends! Just wanted to pop in and share a card I created recently. When I first saw the Geo Blocks products I knew it had to be done in rainbow colors, so I created a Valentine's Day card with it! We don't offer themed valentine's day product at Pinkfresh Studio, but we certainly have a ton of items that can be created with to celebrate love. I'm not much for themed products (apart from Christmas) because they are so limiting...but I love to use what I have to create cards for special occasions. I love that Pinkfresh will often put a themed sentiment into a non-themed set to make it more versatile and useable all year long!
Love You the Most card
Card size: A2 - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (inches)
I started by foiling the Geo Block hot foil plate in Aura colored foil using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. Then I used the coordinating layering stencils to ink blend the rainbow gradient with Pinkfresh Studio premium dye inks (all colors are linked below). Then I proceeded to do all the diecutting...and there is a lot of that. Lol! First I created a frame from the Blanket Stitch Rectangles (I used one of the inner dies from our Folk Edge set to help create the frame, but you could use any that you might have on hand).
Next I cut the two layers of Blanket Stitch Ovals from both white & pink cardstock. I keep all of my scraps, and the inside ovals that cut from both our Fancy Oval Frame and Ornate Oval Frame dies works perfectly with the Blanket Stitch Ovals. Just an FYI in case you have them! I diecut the Love You the Most sentiment three times: once from gold pearl paper and twice from white cardstock. I cut the shadow layer from vellum, then stacked & glued together as shown.
I used the Slim Stripes die set to cut 1/4" strips from cardstock, then glued in rainbow order to a scrap of white cardstock. I then diecut the bow from the rainbow stripes, white cardstock & gold pearl paper and assembled. With everything complete, I put my card together as shown, popping some elements up with foam adhesive. To finish, I accented opposite corners with the Crystals Mix in rainbow order.
There will be a few more images of this card on my Instagram post, as I have an image limit on my website...and I'm trying to stretch it as far as I can before I have to purchase additional storage. Lol! Thanks for heading to my feed to see more, and allowing me to be a tad frugal. You can also check out my complete supply list below to multiple stores, or CLICK HERE to see it a bit easier. :)
