Hi crafty friends! This is a little bit of a different type of post for me, but I get asked A LOT about blending brushes, foil rolls and how I store all of it. So today I thought I would share, because I just found a perfect solution for my foil rolls! Get more info below, and shopping links as well.
Foil Roll and Blending Brush Storage
First up, let's chat about foil roll storage. It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to store my foil rolls. I foil A LOT now, so I knew I wanted it to be nearby and easy to access. I also love how pretty the foils are, and I wanted to see if I could find a way to store them so they would be seen. Enter the 360 Craft Tower from Scrapbook.com. This now takes up residence on my desk, right next to where I typically foil. And while it's a little big, it also houses some of my stamping & cleaning essentials for easier access than the drawer they used to be in. All in all...a HUGE win for me and my productivity, and also improves on the aesthetic in my craft area. I love that it easily rotates so I can access whatever I need in it quickly and efficiently. Sometimes it's also just fun to give it a little spin and see all the glorious colors of foil rolls. I bet you will do it too if you adopt this storage option! ;) I purchased the clear version, but they also carry it in white! I also purchase a lot of my Glimmer foil rolls from Scrapbook.com because they are typically a great price and are often on sale. I've put my five favorite foil roll colors into my supply list below (I've also linked them to Spellbinders if that is your shopping preference)!
I get asked a lot of what blending brushes I use, and how I store them. I almost exclusively use the Taylored Expressions blending brushes, both regular sized and small sized. I like the colored handles that are offered in both pastel and bright shades. For the couple of pastel shades that aren't included, I just add in a Picket Fence Studios life changing brush, which have black handles. There are certainly many other options out there for blending brushes, but these happen to be my preference. As for storing them, I use the Bathtub Caddy from the Make It By Marko etsy shop. They 3D print these, and this style is what works best for my crafting area. However, they have a few other style options that you may want to check out, along with different color options as well! For my smaller brushes, I use the Tool Trey from Taylored Expressions. You can also find these unbranded on Amazon, but they are the same exact price at TE, and I would rather support a crafty business if I can. :)
Finally, I do get asked a lot about what I ink blend on, and which glass mat is on my desk. I use the We R Memory Keepers 16x22 glass mat, and it fits perfectly on my desk from Ikea. I like that it is a lighter color, and not black...which looks nicer in my craft area and just my general preference. I hope that this info is helpful and informative for you! If you adopt any of these for your own storage, definitely share them with me! Feel free to tag me on Instagram or email me a photo!
