Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Last week my severe dry eye syndrome flared up, which meant limited to no screen time, low light and uncomplicated projects over the weekend. I actually finished a different A to Z project that I had been planning to do forever, but never made the time to do it. I will share more about it later, once I've taken photos of it...but it made me think of all the amazing Pinkfresh Studio products that I have sitting in this room that don't get used very often.
Thus, my Pinkfresh A to Z project was born. I will be going through our products from A to Z, and actually using them! I have a very busy work schedule, so this isn't going to be scheduled or forced. I will create & share as I have time to. Mostly I am just excited to use older product that is still amazing, and maybe finding ways to freshen it up with newer items! Today I am starting with our A2 Slider Die, which is relatively new. It was part of our March release, but I never did share this card with you!
You're Sweet interactive card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Cut & fold an A2 card base from white cardstock.
- Pull out a panel of Artistic Dahlias washi tape and adhere to white cardstock.
- Diecut the washi tape panel with the coordinating 1-piece die.
- Diecut the A2 Slider die pieces from white cardstock, then start to assemble.
- Using the top part of the slider element as a guide, place the inner sentiment and then stamp after removing the guide.
- Glue down a small washi tape piece to the left of the stamped secondary sentiment.
- Add the slider element to the card front, popping the top part up with thin foam strips to allow the slider part to move as easy as possible.
- Heat emboss the main sentiment to white cardstock in Gold Pearl, cut out with the coordinating die, then cut 3 additional layers.
- Stack & adhere the sentiment cuts together for added rigidity & dimension.
- Attach the washi tape pieces and sentiment to the card base as shown.
- Diecut the Artistic Bow pieces from vellum & gold pearl paper, then assemble.
- Adhere the bow to the top of the slider tag with strong adhesive.
- Accent with Starry Sky and Twilight ombre glitter drops to finish.
Assembling the A2 slider die is hard to write instructions for, so I do have a quick video up on my Instagram feed today showing the process. It is really quite easy to do, especially after seeing it once through. We made sure this fun interactive card die wouldn't be complicated to use!
