Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I hope you've enjoyed your long holiday weekend (US friends), or just your weekend to everyone else. Lol! I finished a book I've been reading, and have almost finished another on my Kindle.
I watched my alma mater, University of Montana, win their playoff football game last night! I was up until 1am watching, and I don't even regret it. Lol! The game was dismal at first, and it looked like we would lose terribly. But then in the second half momentum shifted, and they started playing like the team we saw in the first half of the season. I'm happy that I stuck around and watched the entire game, even though I was already super tired when it started.
I've also done a little bit of crafty shopping with all the great deals out there...and now I need to log out of my Paypal account and pretend it's not there. Lol!! Finally, I did a little bit of crafting, and you will see those cards towards the end of next week.
Merry & Bright Daisies Slimline card
Card size: Slimline - 4" x 9" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
I did create this card in a past Facebook Live on the Pinkfresh Studio page, but the video quality was severely downgraded. It was our assumption that FB had some issues that day, as we saw other fellow craft companies having the same issue that day. So here is are simple step by step instructions to recreate the card:
- Step 1 - Stamp & heat emboss the floral image in gold pearl to white cardstock.
- Step 2 - Ink blend the stamp image with the coordinating layering stencils in the following colors: (Stencil 1: Coral Reef, Mint, Marigold - Stencil 2: Coral Reef - Stencil 3: Passion Fruit - Stencil 4: Berrylicious - Stencil 5: Olive - Stencil 6: Evergreen).
- Step 3 - Diecut the flowers with the coordinating die.
- Step 4 - Foil the sentiment in Sparkle Red to white cardstock, then cut out with the coordinating die.
- Step 5 - Diecut the Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid background from white cardstock, and the Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle from gold pearl paper.
- Step 6 - Assemble the cards as shown, popping up some elements with foam adhesive.
- Step 7 - Accent with Butterscoth Glitter Drops to finish.
Quick Note: Floral holiday cards don't have to be limited to poinsettias, anemones and white lilies! Look at all the floral products you have in your crafty stash and use them with Christmas or wintry colors so you can use them for any season.
