Happy Monday, crafty friends! I wanted to pop in today and share a card I created live a couple weeks ago on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel. I've needed the last couple weeks off from live due to my schedule, so Heather stepped in for me. But I will be back live tomorrow at 12pm CT on our channel. I hope you'll join me!
You can watch the replay below, and get more details!
Thanks for Being Who you Are card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
You can watch these cards come together in my YouTube Live video below. Here is a quick overview of how to do it, in case watching videos isn't your thing:
- Create A2 sized card base from light pink cardstock & set aside.
- Stamp the Handpicked Flowers image to white cardstock in Rocky Slope or grey dye ink. Leave the stamp in your stamping platform and set aside.
- Ink blend the stamped image with the coordinating layering stencils in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Ballet Slipper, Soft Lilac
Stencil 2: Peach Fuzz
Stencil 3: Apricot, Sweet Mustard, Candy Violet
Stencil 4: Sparkling Rose, Candy Violet
Stencil 5: Mint
Stencil 6: Meadow
- Place the ink blended image back into your stamping platform, and re-stamp with Detail Black.
- Diecut the florals with the coordinating die.
- Cut the flowers so they can be used with the Ornate Banner frame. (This process is best explained in the live replay below.)
- Assemble the cards as shown with the exception of the sentiment, popping up some elements with foam tape for added dimension.
- Stamp & heat emboss the Thanks sentiment in white to pink cardstock. Diecut it along with three more layers, then stack & adhere together.
- Stamp the secondary sentiment to scrap white cardstock, then cut out with our Basic Banners die. (This step is different from the live. I decided I didn't love how it looked as a thin strip, so I changed it afterwards.)
- Accent with Blush & gold glitter drops, along with Lavender jewels to finish.
While I love using floral stamps as is, I also love cutting them up! This allows for so many more design options, making your floral products more versatile and useable. My biggest piece of advice is to just DO IT! Have a general idea of what you want to do, or add a soft penciled line with a ruler to give you a guideline. I think you will really love the added options you get for all your paper crafting projects!
