Happy Friday, crafty friends! Just wanted to pop in and share a fun card I created awhile back that features some fun ink blending! I've used a layering stencil set that technically has both a coordinating hot foil plate and die, but I've used it alone to create this really dreamy background!
You can actually purchase this set (along with quite a few other designs) for 35% off this week! Just be sure to use the code A2STCL35 upon check-out in order to receive the savings. Code is valid through next Thursday, or while supplies last. :)
Thank You for being You card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)

Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Create (1) top folding A2 (4.25 x 5.5 inches) from white card base and (2) A2 panels from white cardstock.
- Ink blend the Overlapping Geo Leaf stencils to an A2 panel in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Ocean Breeze
Stencil 2: Ballet Slipper
Stencil 3: Candy Violet Stencil
4: Coral Reef Stencil
5: Aquamarine
- Using a stamping platform, stamp the floral image to white cardstock in any shade of dye ink. DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP FROM YOUR STAMPING PLATFORM.
- Ink blend the stamped image with the coordinating stencils in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Ballet Slipper
Stencil 2: Aquamarine
Stencil 3: Coral Reef
Stencil4: Aquamarine
Stencil 5: Candy Violet (small flowers) & Apricot (flower centers)
- Return the panel to your stamping platform and re-stamp the image in Detail Black.
- Stamp the Thank You sentiment in Detail Black to the extra space on the same panel.
- Diecut the flowers & the sentiment with the coordinating dies.
- Stamp the secondary sentiment in Candy Violet and trim into a thin strip.
- Trim 1/8th inch off each edge of the background panel, then adhere to the A2 card base with foam adhesive.
- Adhere the flowers with liquid glue, then attach the sentiments with foam tape.
- Accent with Blush Glitter Drops to finish.
TIP: There are two reason why I choose to double stamp when ink blending with layering stencils. The first pertains specifically to Detail Black, or any hybrid ink. They give AMAZINGLY crisp impressions, but they need time to dry. If you tried ink blending over top of something stamped in a hybrid ink immediately, it would smear. Secondly, I feel like ink blending over top of a stamped image makes it less crisp. But I like having the stamped outline as a guide - so double stamping is the perfect answer to this! And with our stamping platforms, it's super easy to do!
Before I close up, I wanted to mention that my Crafty Sale page is updated, and I'm also currently work on my FAVORITES page!
