Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I wanted to pop in today and share a card I created a couple weeks ago on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel. I combined some of our original ink colors with some of our new ink colors to see how well they would mix together, and I am so pleased with how well it went!
You can watch the replay below, and get more details about today's projects.
Lucky to Have a Friend Like You card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - if you love my card & would like to purchase any of the products I've used, I would love for you to shop from my links! I earn a small commission at no cost to you, allowing me to contribute to our finances. I appreciate this gesture more than words can express!
You can watch the card come together in my YouTube Live video below. Here is a quick overview if you'd rather not watch the live:
- Cut & fold an A2 card base from light pink cardstock.
- Stamp the Blooming Peony image to white cardstock in Misty Coast, then leave the stamp in your stamping platform.
- Use the coordinating layering stencils to ink blend the image in pinks, purples and greens.
- Cut out the panel with the largest Folk Edge Rectangle.
- Stamp the sentiment in Calico White pigment ink to pink cardstock, cover in white embossing powder & heat set.
- Cut out the sentiment with the coordinating die, then cut additional layers from white & ivory glitter cardstock.
- Adhere the ink blended floral panel to the card base.
- Layer the sentiment as shown to the front just slightly off center for each layer.
- Accent with Amethyst glitter drops to finish.
My card also fits the colors of the October challenge at Pinkfresh Studio! Each month we host a challenge, and give away (2) $50 gift card code prizes - one to a cardmaking entry and the other to a scrapbooking entry. All you have to do is use the theme, colors or both...and predominately Pinkfresh Studio products. Then link it up! We pick the winner randomly, so everyone has an equal chance of winning!
If you haven't played along with us, or didn't know we offer a challenge - I hope you will join us. It's a great way to challenge yourself (lol), break out your fave Pinkfresh goodies and have a fun time creating. It's also great if you are feeling a bit of a creative slump as it gives you a starting point for your design!
