Happy Monday, crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Just popping in to share another card featuring our April 2023 release at Pinkfresh Studio! This festive slimline features our new Rosettes stencil & die set, along with our Basic Banners: Celebrate stamp and Basic Banners die. It also features just the adorable banner that tops the cake from our Sweet Day product suite. I just snipped it away from the cake image, and you will see tomorrow how I used the rest of the image!
It's Time to Throw Confetti card
Card size: Slimline - 4" x 9" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Cut & fold a 4x9-inch slimline card base from white cardstock and set aside.
- Diecut a white cardstock panel using the largest Slim Stitched Rectangle, and an ivory glittered cardstock panel with the larger Slim Stitched Scallop Rectangle die. Set aside.
- Ink blend the Rosettes to white cardstock panels in the following colors (This stencil set creates 3 Rosettes. You will need to ink blend an additional Rosette on another piece of cardstock):
Stencil 1: Coral Reef, Apricot, Lemon Whip, Ocean Breeze
Stencil 2: Passion Fruit, Clementine, Sweet Mustard, Aquamarine
- Foil the Sweet Day plate to white cardstock using Aura foil.
- Ink blend just the banner using stencil 3 in the following colors: Coral Reef, Apricot, Lemon Whip & Ocean Breeze. (You will likely need to mask for each color.)
- Stamp the 1-piece Basic Banners: Celebrate sentiment set in Detail Black ink to white cardstock.
- Diecut all of the elements with their coordinating dies, along with two extra sets of banners in ivory glitter cardstock & pink cardstock.
- Trim the Sweet Day banner away from the cake, then put the cake piece aside for a different project.
- Layer the background elements to the card base, popping up the outer scalloped frame with foam tape.
- Attach the rosettes, birthday banner, & sentiment banner as shown.
- Accent with jewels to finish.
Check back tomorrow to see how I used the rest of the trimmed away cake piece, and the colors I will use to blend it in! You will likely want to ink blend the entire cake before diecutting it, so consider this a 2-part series. :)
