Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Just popping in to share a card set that I created live last year on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel, but then never got around to sharing it. (I am terrible about that...I NEED to get better.) Although, sometimes it is nice to have cards available to post when I'm having busy weeks with either minimal crafting or release crafting which can't be shared until later, which happens to be the case this week! I'm currently getting ready for our April release, and that has me busy as a bee.
You can watch the replay below, and get more details!
Inky Floral Background card set
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
You can watch these cards come together in my YouTube Live video below. Here is a quick overview of how to do it, in case watching videos isn't your thing:
- Create (2) A2 sized card bases from peach cardstock & set aside.
- Foil the sentiments to white cardstock in Gold foil. (Go ahead & reverse foil the leftover with the Solid Hot Foil plate. We won't use it today, but I always like to do this at the same time so it gets done.)
- Stamp and heat emboss the Inky Floral Background to white cardstock in Gold Pearl embossing powder.
- Ink blend the image with the coordinating layering stencils.
- Diecut the background with the largest Stitched Rectangle, plus two more from white cardstock.
- Diecut the foiled sentiments using the coordinating 1-piece die.
- Diecut the Curvy Leaves from ivory glitter cardstock & gold colored vellum.
- Cut the floral background in half at an angle.
- Assemble the cards as shown, popping up the angled floral piece with foam tape for added dimension.
- Accent with Blossom & Gold glitter drops to finish.
Do you love background stamps, but sometimes get bored with them? Then change them up and make the most out of the products your hard earned dollars purchase! You can cut them in half like I did today, and get a 2 for 1 card. Trim just a shape from them, like an oval or a circle. Better yet, try the spotlight technique with a matching heat embossed background on coordinating colored cardstock! The possibilities really are endless with background stamps when you don't use them in full!
