I will put all of the blog hop details at the end of my post, but how about we get to my card first? I decided that a rainbow themed card was pretty perfect for this release!
You Shine slimline card
To start this card I ink blended the Fading Tiny Dots stencil to a block of Hammermill smooth white cardstock in the following rainbow colors: Bubble Gum, Candy Apple, Clementine, Sunshine, Grassy Knoll, Aquamarine & Candy Violet. This is my preferred white cardstock these days, but especially for ink blending with dye inks. it is SUPER smooth, and dye inks blend like butta' on it (channeling my inner Laura Bassen there...lol!).
After ink blending, I diecut the panel with the largest Slim Stitched Rectangle, and mounted it to a 4x9 red card base with 3M foam tape. Next I grabbed some 1/8" strips of cardstock in matching rainbow colors that I cut with the Slim Stripes die set. I adhered them to a scrap of white cardstock, then cut the base layer of the You Shine die from the rainbow stripes. I also diecut the base layer from Tonic gold pearl paper, and the scripted word layer from white cardstock 3 times. I layered them together as shown. (Tip: if you add a strip of 1/8" inch ScorTape behind those tiny words, it is super easy to add the alpha layers. Just don't remove the release paper on the back!)
I trimmed the second part of the sentiment into two strips from the Encouraging Words sentiment strips. I mounted both sentiment pieces to the card front, popping the strips up with thin foam strips for added dimension.
I finished by adding Glacier iridescent jewels scattered through the stenciled panel. I used a Crystal Katana and Bearly Arts glue to easily adhere down all the jewels. Easy peasy, but full of rainbow goodness!
