Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! My friends at Spellbinders recently asked me to create a card set featuring some products from the Watercolor Florals collection, and I happily said yes! This is such a stunning collection of floral stamps that are perfect for many different coloring & stamping techniques. Let’s take a look at how I created these cards!
Flowers are like Friends card
For my first card I stamped & heat embossed the florals & leaves twice in gold to water friendly Bristol cardstock using the Beauty In Bloom stamp set. I loosely watercolored the images with sparkle watercolor markers in shades of pinks & purples for the flowers, and green for the leaves. I added yellow centers to each floral, then splattered white acrylic ink to them. Once dry, I fussy cut all of the images.
Next I diecut a coordinating panel from Bristol cardstock using the largest Nestabilities Essentials Rectangles, then stamped the sentiment to the middle of it in black ink using the Wildflower Sentiments stamp set. I popped the panel up on a purple A2 card base using foam adhesive, then arranged & glued the flowers down as shown. To finish I accented with trios of iridescent jewels.
Every Time I Think of You card
For my second card I stamped the layering flowers to a white cardstock panel using the Layered Wildflowers stamp set and premium dye inks. I diecut the panel using the largest Nestabilities Essentials Rectangles, then stamped the sentiment to the upper right corner in black using the Wildflower Sentiments stamp set. I spattered the flowers with white acrylic ink and let dry.
Once dry, I mounted the panel to the front of an A2 card base with foam adhesive, then accented the larger flowers with jewels to finish.
Where Flowers Bloom card
For my final card, I stamped the florals from the Fragrant Flowers stamp set in fadeout ink to water friendly bristol cardstock. I lightly colored them in with sparkle watercolor makers, then stamped the sentiment to the middle in black ink. I diecut the panel using the largest Nestabilities Essentials Rectangles, then spattered the flowers with white acrylic ink and let dry.
Once dry, I mounted the panel to the front of an A2 card base with foam adhesive, then accented the larger flowers with jewels to finish.
I really love this lovely set of stamps in the Watercolor Florals collection! I had so much fun creating this card set and I hope they inspire you as you create with these gorgeous new products. Have a wonderful day!
