Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I hope you have had an amazing weekend so far. I watched the Griz just barely win last night, but I'll take it! We have a terrible record on this opponent's field, and a win is a win. I did some organizing & cleaning in my office, as well as photographed this card so I could share it today! I created this card at a craft retreat weekend a couple weeks ago, but haven't had a moment to get photos of it.
When I saw the Happy Hour collection at Spellbinders, I knew it was a must have! If you know me at all, you know I love a fancy, well made cocktail. And I also love to create cocktail themed cards! I used some of my rewards points to get a bit of a discount, and scooped these goodies right up! For this card I featured the Sunset in a Cup die set and Cheers Sentiments press plate & die, paired with the Scattered Tropics 3D embossing folder from a past kit.
Cheers on Your Birthday card

Here are instructions on how to create today's card:
- Cut & fold A2 card base from white cardstock.
- Mist the back of an A2 white cardstock panel with water, then emboss with the Scattered Tropics embossing folder. Set aside to dry.
- Foil the Cheers Sentiments in polished brass foil to white cardstock, then diecut with the coordinating 1-piece die.
- Diecut the Sunset in a Cup pieces as shown from gold pearl cardstock, ivory glitter cardstock and assorted colored cardstock, along with four extra glass layers from white cardstock. (You need enough pieces to create two drinks.)
- Lightly ink blend the colored cardstock pieces in tone on tone ink colors.
- Assemble the drinks as shown, popping the sun pieces up with thin foam strips.
- Ink blend the embossed background in Cherry Blossom, Sunkissed and Waterfall inks from Pinkfresh Studio.
- Trim the panel down to 4" x 5.25", then mount to the card base with foam adhesive.
- Adhere the drinks to the front, popping the top drink up with foam adhesive.
- Attach the sentiment to the lower right corner, overlapping the stem of the background drink.
- Accent the suns with Aura AB crystals from Spellbinders. (I had to reinforce mine with liquid glue - the self adhesive wasn't sticking as well as I would prefer.)
