Happy Monday, crafty friends! I'm popping in with a fun slimline card featuring a new die set from the Spellbinders March release! This set is from the Paint Your World set of products, and I've focused on the Painted Blooms die set. I've also featured lots of other Spellbinders goodies, which I will share below in my project write up!
Rainbow Paintbrush slimline card
Card size: Slimline - 4" x 9" (inches)
I started by doing all the diecutting...and there is a lot of it. Lol! I used my beautiful Limited Edition aqua Platinum 6, but of course, you can use whatever diecut machine you have in your crafty area! Most of the diecutting was done using the new Painted Blooms die set. I cut the paintbrush handles from Hammermill white cardstock, and the details from Tonic Gold Pearl paper. The paintbrush bristles and flowers were cut from an assortment of Spellbinders cardstock in rainbow colors. I also cut two sets of bristles for each brush in champagne glitter cardstock to make them feel a bit fuller. I cut the leaves using the Typing Class die set from two shades of green cardstock. I linked all the specific cardstock colors I used below, and I know many of them are out of stock right now. You can switch out the colors with ones of you have on hand. Or if you really want these cardstocks, I would recommend signing up for a restock notification. This way you will be emailed the moment Spellbinders adds inventory back in! All paper products have been heavily hit by supply chain issues, so have patience with your fave crafty companies. They are doing there best! With all the diecutting done, I assembled the paint brushes and paired the flowers together.
Up next I worked on foiling my sentiments. The main Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Scalloped Rectangle Glimmer Essentials with Sentiments set. I foiled it in Bright Pink with my Glimmer Hot Foil System. Then I added the Essential Glimmer Rectangle around it, and foiled it in Polished Brass. Next I foiled the Time to Celebrate secondary sentiment from the More Sentiments set in Polished Brass as well. I diecut that sentiment with the strip die from Sweet & Snarky Birthday Wishes set, and used my paper trimmer to cut out the main sentiment.
With everything complete, I mounted a white cardstock panel to a blue slimline card base. I mounted and arranged the diecut elements and foiled sentiments as shown, popping up some elements with foam tape for added dimension. To finish I accented the card with a Jewels Mix in rainbow colors.
There will also be more images of this card on my Instagram post, as I have an image limit on my website...and I'm trying to stretch it as far as I can before I have to purchase additional storage. Lol! Thanks for heading to my feed to see more, and allowing me to be a tad frugal. You can also check out my complete supply list below to multiple stores, or CLICK HERE to see it a bit easier. :)
