Happy Sunday, crafty friends! I wanted to pop in and share the very pastel slimline birthday card that I created this week on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel. I based the entire card off using the Satin Pastels foil roll set and I can't get over how thrilled I am with how this card turned out!
I foiled the Medallion Border press plate in each foil roll color, and this is something I'm excited to share with you. We initially were told that if you accidentally foil your press plate, it will no longer work on the BetterPress system. But we've actually found it impossible to accidentally foil one - the foil doesn't stick. Once we found this out, I felt much more comfortable foiling with my press plates...and they foil BEAUTIFULLY! You can get more details about this card below, and catch the replay if you missed it live.
It's a Celebration card

- Hot foil the Medallion Border in the four shades of Satin Pastels with your hot foil system.

- Ink blend with the coordinating layering stencils in the following colors: Sparkling Rose, Coral Reef, Fresh Pear & Ocean Breeze.
- Diecut with the coordinating die.
- Stamp the sentiment in Detail Black ink to white cardstock, then diecut with two extra layers. Stack & glue together.
- Diecut a frame from ivory glitter cardstock with the Blanket Stitched & Diagonal Stitched slimline die sets.
- Adhere the satin pastel borders to the white cardstock panel as shown, then trim the excess.
- Adhere the panel to the pink cardbase, then mount the ivory glitter frame to the front with foam tape.
- Adhere the balloons and sentiment to the front as shown, popping the sentiment up with foam tape.
- Accent with Sparkling Champagne pearls to finish.
