Happy Saturday, crafty friends! I hope you've had a good start to your weekend. We walked over to our community farmer's market, and picked up a couple veggies to have this week. I also got a GORGEOUS bouquet of flowers for $10 - can't beat that!
Today I've got another Pinkfresh Studio July release card to share with you today! It's a simple square card, featuring rainbow stripes within the leaf accents. I always forget how much I enjoy creating square shaped cards!
This card features the new Foliage Shaker die set, with a sentiment from the new Thanks for Being There product suite. There are so many ways that you can use this leafy die set, and it doesn't have to be used for only fall! I really love how the rainbow stripes turned out, and I hope you do too!
You Make Me Smile card
Card size: Square - 4.25" x 4.25" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - if you love my card & would like to purchase any of the products I've used, I would love for you to shop from my links! I earn a small commission at no cost to you, allowing me to contribute to our finances. I appreciate this gesture more than words can express!
Here is a quick overview of how to recreate this card:
- Create square sized card base from pink cardstock, then set aside.
- Diecut the thinnest Slim Stripes die from a rainbow gradient of cardstock.
- Glue them at an angle to white cardstock.
- Use the solid dies to cut out the rainbow striped leaves.
- Diecut the detail layers from ivory glitter cardstoc, then glue to the front of the rainbow striped layers.
- Diecut a panel with the largest Folk Edge Square die.
- Using the leaves as a guide, stamp the first part of the sentiment directly to the square panel in Detail Black.
- Mount the panel to the pink card front with foam tape.
- Adhere the leaf layers as shown with liquid glue.
- Heat emboss the sentiment in Gilded to white cardstock.
- Diecut it along with two more layers, then stack & adhere together.
- Adhere the second part of the sentiment to the front.
- Finish by accenting with Glacier jewels.
TIP: Whenever I have long but somewhat skinny pieces of scrap cardstock leftover, I grab my Slim Stripes dies and cut strips from it. I have a drawer where the strips are organized by color, and they are always readily available when I want to "strip it up"! Lol.
