I'm sharing a glowy, golden card that I created featuring the Floral Octagon Frame press plate & coordinating die. I used it with this stunning gold pigment ink, and I just love how the results turned out! I diecut the frame from two of our new glitter cardstocks in Ivory and Gold. You can get the details on how I created it below.

Here is a quick overview of how to create this card:
- Cut & fold A2 (4.25” x 5.5”) card base from cream cardstock.
- Press the Floral Octagon Frame plate to the middle of an A2 sized panel of watercolor cardstock using Galaxy Gold pigment ink.
- Move the plate so it will press into the top section of the panel and repeat.
- Move the plate so it will press into the bottom section of the panel and repeat.
- Press another Floral Octagon Frame into a separate panel of watercolor cardstock, then cut out with the coordinating die.
- Apply a quick watercolor wash around the background panel using Ballet Slipper liquid watercolor (releasing in early 2024) and set aside to dry.
- Press the sentiment into a scrap piece of watercolor cardstock using Detail Black ink.
- Cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die, along with an additional layer. Stack & glue together.
- Diecut the largest Ornate Rectangle Frame from both ivory & gold glitter cardstock, plus two additional layers from white cardstock.
- Stack & glue the outer ivory layer with the two white layers.
- Adhere the background panel to a cream card base using a strong tape runner to help with any warping the watercolor wash caused.
- Attach the frame layers around the edge with liquid glue.
- Mount the diecut octagon frame with foam tape, flipping it so the background layer will peek through a bit.
- Add the sentiment to the lower left corner, securing with both liquid glue & thin foam strips.
- Accent with Ballet Slipper jewels & Iridescent Clear drops to finish.
