Happy Thursday, crafty friends! I just wanted to pop in and share a fun birthday card I've made using a couple of new die sets from Spellbinders April release! These two sets are from the Pie Perfection collection, and I've combined them with some of my older Spellbinders goodies to give them a nice refresh. Spellbinders currently has a $25 off $100 purchase promo going on, so it's a great time to grab some of the brand new products, or whatever happens to be on your wishlist!
Birthday Wishes card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
To start I created a top folding A2 card base from pomegranate colored cardstock. Next I foiled the Skinny Stripes Background in Bright Pink foil to Hammermill white cardstock using my Glimmer Hot Foil System. I also foiled one of the circles from the Essential Glimmer Circles to a scrap of white cardstock in the same color. I proceeded to use the Nestabilities Essentials Circles die set to cut out my "plate". I also used the largest Nestabilities Essentials Rectangles to cut out the foiled background. I adhered both to the center of the cardbase, popping each layer up with foam tape.
Next I did all the diecutting from the following sets: Serve a Slice, Dish It Up, and Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments. I used the following colors of Spellbinders cardstock: Alabaster, Pink Sand, Wild Berry, Poppy Field, Pomegranate and Rainforest. I used gold pearl paper for the utensils and Hammermill white for the whipped cream. Once they were diecut I did a little bit of ink blending with some Pinkfresh Studio inks in the following colors: Warm Buff, Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Berrylicious, Candy Apple, & Key Lime (they are all linked in my supply list below). This just helped give the diecuts a little shading, and allowed me to create an ombre sentiment. I assembled the pie slice as shown, then glued some Sparkle Cuts to resemble sugar.
I adhered all of the diecut pieces as shown to the card front, popping the piece of pie up with foam tape. Then I accented the card with trios of crystals in red, pink & clear to finish.
There will also be more images of this card on my Instagram post, as I have an image limit on my website...and I'm trying to stretch it as far as I can before I have to purchase additional storage. Lol! Thanks for heading to my feed to see more, and allowing me to be a tad frugal. You can also check out my complete supply list below to multiple stores, or CLICK HERE to see it a bit easier. :)
