Happy Sunday, crafty friends! 🎨 This Friday I hosted a new show on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel called Craft Hour: Retailer Edition! Twice a month, I get the chance to introduce our viewers to a fantastic shop that sells and supports our brand. How fun is that?
Last Friday, Leslie from Cobblestone Creek Studios joined me for the second episode, and we had an amazing time! 🌄 We created this stunning mountain sunset card together, featuring the Mountains layering stencil set and the Trees stencil & die combo. The Blanket Stitched Octagon, cut from ivory glitter cardstock, reminded me of a big picture window overlooking this majestic mountain scene!
If you missed it, you can catch the replay on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel—just click on the live tab. You can also find more info on how to create this card below!
Just Saying Hello card
Card size: A2 - 4.25 x 5.5 (inches) - click on the images above to see them larger.
FEATURED PRODUCTS - if you love my card & would like to purchase any of the products I've used, I would love for you to shop from my links! I earn a small commission at no cost to you, allowing me to contribute to our finances. I appreciate this gesture more than words can express!
Here are instructions on how to create today's card:
- Cut & fold (1) A2 card base and (2) A2 panels from white cardstock.
- Ink blend the Mountains stencils to an A2 white cardstock panel in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Soft Lilac, Waterfall, Sapphire
Stencil 2: Hydrangea
Stencil 3: Candy Violet, Evergreen
Stencil 4: Marigold, Sunkissed
Stencil 5: Mimosa
Stencil 6: Begonia
- Lightly ink blend the sky with leftover ink from your Mimosa and Begonia blending brushes, then adhere to the card.
- Ink blend the Trees stencils to an A2 white cardstock panel in the following colors:
Stencil 1: Sage
Stencil 2: Eucalyptus
Stencil 3: Spruce Tips, Espresso
- Die cut Trees with coordinating die.
- Diecut the Blanket Stitched Octagon frame from ivory glitter cardstock, then arrange the hills along the bottom.
- Trim away the excess, then mount the frame to the card front with foam tape.
- Arrange the trees and grassy knolls to the front as shown.
- Heat emboss the sentiment in gold to white cardstock, then diecut with one additional layer from white cardstock and ivory glitter cardstock. Stack & glue together as shown, then attach to the card front.
- Accent with iridescent dew drops to finish.
I chose a hello themed sentiment, but you could really use any type of greeting for this card. The (mountain) sky is the limit!
Heather & I will be teaching an Always Smiling virtual class for Cobblestone Creek Studios on Friday, November 8th. There are still kits available if you'd like to join us - and as always, the class will be available on replay if you can't make it live!
