Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! I hope you had a great start to your week. Today I'm sharing this beautiful Poppy Mix featuring new products from the Pinkfresh Studio December 2022 release. Before I get to my card, I have to tell you the cutest story about my mama.
If you haven't heard yet, we are moving back to my home state of Montana next year. According to the builder, our house will be finished sometime between June-September. We are moving to the small town of Anaconda, MT, which is where my mom lives too. Population 8,000 and 20 miles away from Georgetown Lake, which we fell in love with this past summer. Currently Anaconda looks like it's straight out of a Hallmark movie, and I am SO excited to be part of all the festivities next year. They create an ice skating rink around the town Christmas tree....I mean, come on! How cute is that?!
Anyways...I had been raving about that since last week when I found out. My mama called me one night and said, "I've got something to tell you that is really going to sell you even further on Anaconda. I just went to the new wine bar in town, and it is fantastic. The owners are so nice, and they've got so many craft beers available that Josh will enjoy too. And once they get going they are planning on having wine tastings, classes and brunches on Sunday." Isn't she the cutest?! Lol! We've signed the paperwork on the house, so it's practically a done deal...but I love that she is excited and also trying to keep us excited as well. (I don't think you could keep me from being excited...I am SO HAPPY to be going home.)
Lots of Love card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Step 1 - Stamp & heat emboss the Poppy Mix image in Rose Gold embossing powder to white cardstock.
- Step 2 - Ink blend the image in with the coordinating layering stencils in corals/reds, oranges, aquas and greens.
- Step 3 - Foil the largest Nested Rectangle in Rose Gold foil and the Lot sof Love sentiment in Moondust foil.
- Step 4 - Do the reverse foiling of each image with the Solid Hot Foil Plate.
- Step 5 - Diecut the reverse foiled nested rectangle and the standard foiled version of the Lots of Love sentiment with the coordinating dies.
- Step 6 - Cut the Leafy Branch die twice from ivory glitter cardstock.
- Step 7 - Assemble the card as shown, popping some elements up with foam tape for added dimension.
- Step 8 - Accent with Ruby Glitter Drops to finish.
Let's talk about white cardstock. I get asked a lot about what cardstock I use, and I swear by Hammermill 100 LB Premium Color Copy paper. It foils and ink blends beautifully. I'm not much for markers, but I've also heard that it is outstanding for alcohol markers....don't take my word on that because I've never done it. Only heard it through the grapevine. Lol!
The paper industry is struggling with supply chain issues, so sometimes the Hammermill cardstock is hard to find. And it's almost tripled in price over the past couple years. But this Amazon link has been a trusted one for me, and is where I always purchase my Hammermill cardstock from. It's always 100 LB and in good condition. I search prices and availability on this paper a lot, and Amazon typically still has the best price (even though it is higher than it used to be) and tends to ship in a timely manner. I haven't had a Hammermill order canceled yet using this link, but I have heard of it happening. So my only advise is to just be patient and try again if it happens to you.
Before I close up, I wanted to mention that my Crafty Sale page is updated, and I'm also currently work on my FAVORITES page! It currently only has my Amazon list, and my must haves for ink & ink blending...but my hope is to have it completley finished by the end of 2022.
