Give Thanks card with ink blended pumpkins
Thursday, November 23, 2023 | By: Lea Lawson
Happy Thanksgiving, crafty friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day, whether you are celebrating the holiday or it's just a normal Thursday. I am so thankful for you and the kind words you leave, the support you give and the friendships that have been formed over the years. I am truly blessed by you all!
I've got a just because card today. I didn't make it for anything specific - just pulled out products in my stash that I wanted to use, and borrowed some dies from a crafty friend at our last retreat to help bring it together. My friend Chris actually ink blended a few of the pumpkins & gourds that are on my card today - you can tell which ones are hers because they are nicer and a tad more realistic. Lol! ;)
The Spellbinders dies that I used today are all currently 50% off, so definitely a good time to grab them if you want them!
Give Thanks card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - if you love my card & would like to purchase any of the products I've used, I would love for you to shop from my links! I earn a small commission at no cost to you, allowing me to contribute to our finances. I appreciate this gesture more than words can express!
Here is a quick overview of how to recreate this card:
- Cut & fold A2 card base from peach cardstock.
- Diecut the cornstalk, pumpkins & gourds from white cardstock, then ink blend in colors of your preference.
- Diecut the wheelbarrow from aqua, browns and gold pearl cardstock, then assemble.
- Diecut the letters from pink cardstock & the scripted thanks from ivory glitter cardstock.
- Cut 2 extra layers of each from white cardstock, then stack & glue together.
- Diecut the Stitched Diamond Argyle die from white cardstock, then adhere to the card front.
- Assemble the diecut elements to the card as shown, popping up some elements with foam adhesive.
- Accent with self-adhesive crystals to finish.
TIP: You don't have to actually stitch all the fantastic stitched dies that Spellbinders offers. The patterns are absolutely beautiful on their own! Truthfully, stitching really isn't my thing, but I don't let that keep me from grabbing the designs when I truly love them because I think they look amazing without the stitching.
