Happy May, crafty friends! We are still celebrating our "Delightful" press plate release at Pinkfresh Studio, and today I wanted to share a clean & simple card I've made with the free gift we are currently offering. In celebration of our 10th year in business, we've got this whimsical and fun Make A Wish press plate available as a FREE GIFT for orders $50+! So, what all can you do with a press plate? Let me tell you:
- It's primary use is as a letterpress plate to use in your BetterPress system, which is how I've featured it today.
- They also hot foil BEAUTIFULLY, and work on all three of the hot foil systems currently on the market.
- By adapting the sandwich to accommodate for the thickness, you can dry emboss with them, adding a subtle texture to your background.
Be sure to add $50 or more to your cart total before shipping, and you will get it for FREE! The press plate will automatically add & discount from your cart on all eligible orders. You do not need to do anything! Available while supplies last - no rainchecks.
You can get the details on how I created today's card below!

Here is a quick overview of how to create this card:
- Cut & fold A2 card base from white cardstock.
- Place the Make A Wish press plate on the chase of the BetterPress system, and ink up with Cherry Blossom, Sunkissed & Waterfall inks in an ombre gradient.
- Tape porcelain cotton paper to the platen, then place over top of the chase, connecting at the spring loaded magnets.
- Run the sandwich through a Platinum 6 diecut machine.
- Remove the platen to reveal your stunning letterpress results!
- Clean you press plate off with cleaner of choice. (I just isopropyl alcohol. Spellbinders suggests Ranger archival cleaner.)
- Diecut the letterpress panel with the largest die from the Nested Rectangles set and adhere to the card front.
- Heat emboss the Basic Banners: Celebrate stamp set in white to pink cardstock.
- Diecut with the coordinating die.
- Diecut the Basic Banners die again from ivory glitter cardstock.
- Find the matching banners for the confetti sentiment, and adhere the ivory glitter banner underneath the pink one so just a small amount peeks from behind.
- Attach the banner sentiment to the from with foam adhesive.
- Accent with ballet slipper, peach fuzz and ocean breeze jewels to finish.
Don't forget that we also have a blog hop & Instagram hop going on this week! If you haven't checked it out, there are more prizes to be won and inspiration to be seen.
