Hello, crafty friends! Today, I'm popping in to share a cheerful card created using the delightful "Squeeze the Day" products from Taylored Expressions. This card is bursting with vibrant colors, featuring lots of ink blending, die cutting, and a sprinkle of white splatter for a fun and refreshing look.
For this card, I wanted to capture the zest and freshness of lemons. Using Taylored Expressions' layering stencils, I created a lively background filled with bright yellow lemons and lush green leaves. The ink blending technique helped me achieve a smooth, gradient effect, making the lemons look almost good enough to eat!
The focal point of the card is the bold hexagonal sentiment that reads "you're the zest!" in striking black letters. Below it, the playful phrase "POP! FIZZ! CLINK! CHEERS!" adds to the celebratory vibe of the card. To add texture and interest, I used some die-cut white flowers and a bit of white splatter, giving the card a fresh and whimsical touch.

Crafting Supplies & Tips
- Ink Blending: I used a range of yellow and green ink pads along with blending brushes to achieve the vibrant background. Blending in circular motions helps create a seamless transition between colors.
- Die Cutting: The various elements like lemons, leaves, and flowers were cut using standalone dies. Layering these pieces added dimension and depth to the design.
- White Splatter: A little bit of white splatter can go a long way in adding texture. I used bleed proof white paint diluted with water and a fine paintbrush to achieve this effect.
