Happy Thursday, crafty friends! Today seemed like a perfect day to share this Get Well Soon card, as it features a foiled sentiment from one of our Sentiment Ephemera packs at Pinkfresh Studio. They are currently on sale, but that sale ends TONIGHT! You can take 25% off these fun sentiment packs by using the code EPH25. The code is valid until 11:59pm CT, so be sure to grab them at a great price if they've been on your wish list!
These sentiment packs are perfect when you are creating in a time crunch. And the foiled ones are perfect if you really want that foiled look, but don't have a hot foil system! You can also get all the info on my Crafty Sale page.
Get Well Soon card
Card size: A2 - 4.25" x 5.5" (inches)
FEATURED PRODUCTS - complete supply list, linked to multiple sources.
Here are the instructions on how to create this card:
- Stamp the Blooming Branch image in any shade of dye ink (I used gray) using a stamping platform, and leave your stamp. Do not remove it from the platform.
- Ink blend the image with the coordinating layering stencils.
- Put the panel back into your stamping platform, and stamp over top in Detail Black.
- Diecut the image with the coordinating die.
- Diecut a white background panel with the Floral Grid coverplate die.
- Diecut the largest Stitched Scallop Rectangle from ivory glitter cardstock.
- Attach these elements to the front of an A2 sized green bard base, popping the frame up with thin foam strips and gently "fluffing" the stamped image for added dimension.
- Mount the foiled sentiment to the front with foam tape.
- Accent with Sparkling Champagne pearls to finish.
I pretty much always use the re-stamp method when I want a crisp, black impression. I think our Detail Black ink is one of the crispest inks on the market, but due to its hybrid nature it needs some time to dry. I also feel that when you ink blend over top of a stamped image, it dulls the stamped line. By re-stamping after ink blending, you get a super crisp impression! I know it can be scary to try this, but as long as you make sure you are aligning your panel into the corner of your platform and not removing your stamp...you will get perfect results!
In the low chance you get some haloing...my motto is it's only paper. Flip the panel over and try again!
Before I close up, I wanted to mention that my Crafty Sale page is updated, and I'm also currently work on my FAVORITES page!
